Our Birthing From Within Mentors bring a wealth of experience as birth professionals and mothers. We take great pride in our strong reputation, relationships with clients past and present, and the growing community that is Dancing Star Birth. We serve as an ongoing resource for our prenatal clients through email and phone support, monthly newsletters, and moms' groups.
Together our team of mentors represents over seven decades of experience, and a collective 152 years(!) of mothering our children. We actively support one another as mentors and seek to enhance what we offer our clients with each class we teach.

Sarah Juliusson
Founder & owner of Dancing Star Birth, Sarah has served as a Childbirth Educator, Doula, and Maternity Nurse for 19 years, and is the mother of two boys. She is a Certified Birthing From Within Mentor & serves as an Advisor for new teachers around the world. She has a Masters in Parent-Child Nursing, and trained as a midwife.
Abby Mikkelson
Abby is a birth doula, former La Leche League leader, mother of three and Birthing From Within mentor. She came to Birthing From Within in 2004 while preparing for the birth of her third child and found the approach seeped into her life on many levels. She now practices as a birth doula and mentoring prenatal. Learn more about her doula services here.
Judy McLaren
Judy is a seasoned birth doula, breast feeding counsellor and Birthing from Within Mentor. She was drawn into her career as a birth professional through the quality care she received in the birth of her first child. She is now a mother of two, and brings a deep personal commitment and passion to the birth community and the families she supports.
Jenny Taylor
Jenny is Mama to three beautiful boys, a doula, breastfeeding counsellor and Birthing From Within Mentor. She is also owner of Birthing Buddies Childbirth Services offering TENS machines and birthing tub rental. She brings a passion for birth and strives to help clients identify the personal and practical resources they need to support them through birth. Private sessions in German also available.
Lucy French
Lucy is a Birthing From Within Mentor, Birth Doula and a Breastfeeding Counselor. She has been working with birthing families for over 10 years and got hooked on birth after witnessing her first birth at the age of 9. Lucy is also the very proud mother of two beautiful teenagers. Jennifer-Lee Koble
Jennifer-Lee has been serving birthing and postpartum families since 1999, and is a Birthing From Within Mentor, Breastfeeding Counsellor, and Doula. Jennifer-Lee is the mother of three children ~ her two girls and her stepson.
Monique LeBlanc
Monique is a Birthing From Within mentor and La Leche League Leader who began her journey with Birthing From Within with her prenatal class when pregnant with her first child. For her second baby, she took a Birthing Again workshop with us, and finally took the leap and trained as a mentor while pregnant with her third child!
Patricia Rohlfs
Patricia is a Birthing From Within mentor and doula who discovered birth work through the birth of her own two children. She first experienced Birthing From Within as one of our clients, and has truly found her calling. She is an active doula, attending several births each month. Patricia is also fluent in French.
