Doula Care with Rheja Gilchrist
I have served over 200 families with professional birth and postpartum doula care since 1995. As a certified doula and breastfeeding counsellor, birth and babies are a joy and passion for me. A mother of three teenage daughters, I draw on years of mothering experience and knowledge. I enjoy supporting diverse families, and have experience with VBAC, queer families, and "older" mothers. I am trained in energy healing work, and I bring a deep love of the miracle of birth to my practice. Based in North Vancouver, I offer care on the North Shore and in Vancouver.
All women have the capacity to allow the unfoldment of birth. My commitment is to support the emotional and physical journey of mother and child, applying my knowledge of perinatal psychology to help ease your child's transition however the birth unfolds. I encourage, inform, and comfort women and their partners through this transformational time and offer resources to help establish a parent support community.
